This unit has a patented air diverter that eliminates the need for a bypass and is plenum mounted, using the existing supply air velocity of the furnace in your home to move air through the humidifier.
The cabinet is made of durable fiberglass that resists rust, warping and corrosion. A bypass opening isn't required with this model.
